Nahiev is the kind that enjoys any conversation; ones in passing, simple and light, to philosophical chats, or simply discussing one's day. Of course, he's much more interested in what others' have to share rather than himself which makes him the perfect sound post if one needs it.That being said, despite the intimidating visage, Nahiev tries to downplay it with his cheery demeanor. He's quick to cast an easy smile and provide comforting words. He's jovial and playful when need be, happy when his company is accepted.Beneath this light disposition lies something carefully suppressed. There lies hypocrisy and the imminent sense of betrayal.Of course, that side of him is quite difficult to pry open and rarely would anyone see it on normal occasions.TAGS & THEMES.

BACKGROUND.
The below is just something I typed for a friend. I'll eventually spruce this up nicer some day but please enjoy regardless.
So basically Nahiev, where he stands currently in canon, has just returned from traveling throughout Thavnair/Radz-at-Han searching for his master (complicated). He's settled in Ul'dah, settled in the small apartment/housing-place that their master owns, and is staring down a detective board w/ red string sort of thing. He's trying to search any leads of them but so far no luck!In the past, his master... Resurrected? Him? Brought him back? They were trying to revive their deceased lover or maybe the voidsent they had become (since the deceased lover loved these occult sort of things and genuinely believed it so) but Nahiev... Had no memory of his master or their time together. Over time, Nahiev's memories never came back and though the master tried everything in their power to rekindle those memories, they eventually grew tired and paranoid over this. They grew to resent nahiev because they were soulmates!! Why didn't he remember?Then a thought, a simple one, finally crossed his master's mind: what if who they brought back wasn't their Nahiev? What if they had brought back someone else and put their soul into Nahiev's body- their beloved's body? Now instead of resentment it was fear and anxiety because if this Nahiev found out or regained memories of their real self and then grew to hate them for it or worse, they would never be able to face their beloved in the afterlife again.So his master left (msq-timeline wise, it was just a little after hw, before stb start) one day without a word. No clue of their whereabouts or where they'd be going or what they'd be doing. Nahiev figured they'd come back but as time wore on, for some reason, Nahiev felt exhaustion creep in and weariness he otherwise never felt before.It then becomes clear to him that the separation from his master has something to do with the circumstances of his existence; that the longer the time spent apart + the further the distance, the more his body weakens as he no longer has no purpose if not serving his master. So he goes off on a journey to try and find her and its many years of fruitless searching.There are some cases where he feels better and in those moments, uses that as "Oh, they're close" but they never cross paths. Other cases he's so bedridden and feverish he curses their name. He just can't understand why he was abandoned- he exists just for them and he can't fathom being abandoned like this, cast aside like a doll. This is what they wanted!! He was what they wanted!! So why aren't they here?
PLOT HOOKS.
SURFACE LEVEL.
DEDICATED PART TIMER. Have a job that no one will take? Is it dangerous or mundane? Nahiev will take it. His sense of self-preservation is strong but his curiosity is even stronger. He's not incentivized by monetary compensation - but he'll take any gossip, rumors, or information he can get.
ALA MHIGAN ACCENT. He's always happy to come across other Ala Mhigans. He hasn't been back in many years, so sharing updates about his homeland puts him in a good mood.
THE PRACTICAL ART OF HEALING. His aetherical healing isn't the best. In fact, he couldn't really help you at all if that were the case! However, with a sterilized needle and some surgical thread, and some healing salves, Nahiev can patch most people up in record time.
DEVOTEES OF NALD'THAL. He's often at the ossuary in Ul'dah to pay his respects. Perhaps you've seen him around on occasion?
DEEPER LEVEL.
WILLING GUINEA PIG. Need a poison taster? Are you someone who wants to experiment on someone but are too shy to ask? Nahiev is open to any sort of experimentation, so long as he's guaranteed his life and some healing, of course! What does he gain from this? Good question. :)
THE OCCULT AND THE VOID. Things that otherwise are best kept in whispers or behind closed doors should remain that way. Haunted places, haunted people, he feels a sort of kinship with them even if his circumstances are a little different. Whatever the case may be, he's morbidly curious about what truths exist beyond the mortal plane.
THE ROTTING MIRROR. Beneath his mask is a disfigured face and the undeniable truth of Nahiev's sins. When taking one's life, his mask is removed, knowing his victims will carry his grotesque visage to their graves. He rarely takes assassination jobs, but when he does, he bears himself to them one final time.
(NSFW) WAXPLAY. Just need a man to sit still while you place candles on him and let them drip down, burn, and cool off on his skin? He'd be down.
